Senior Front-End Engineer

  • Hybrid
    • Gent, Oost-Vlaanderen, Belgium

Job description

Are you ready to take the lead in shaping the face of an industry-changing AI solution? At Markmi, we’re looking for a senior front-end engineer to redefine how fashion retailers interact with our powerful AI assistant, delivering a sleek, intuitive, and result-oriented user experience.

In 2024 we released Markmi, an AI assistant for fashion retailers that enables merchandising teams to make smarter, faster, and more profitable pricing (markdown) decisions.

By leveraging fashion-focused intelligence and advanced forecasting, Markmi enables teams to set optimal price markdowns that swiftly respond to market shifts, protect margins, and drive revenue—all without relying on outdated spreadsheets or generic tools. Our algorithms, trained specifically on fashion data, empower retailers to reduce manual workload, gain better control over the markdown process, and achieve superior sales outcomes. Markmi demonstrates that with the right tool, fashion teams can confidently use price markdowns as a powerful asset to drive growth.

As a senior front-end engineer, your primary responsibility will be to implement the user-facing elements of the Markmi SaaS solution. In the short term, this means adding features to the existing application and redesigning its key elements. Over time, you’ll have the opportunity to redefine its overall structure, frameworks and infrastructure. You will take the lead in these efforts, incorporating feedback and owning the outcomes of your decisions.

In the said role, you will work side by side with product management, software engineers, data scientists, and industry experts. Collaboratively, the goal is to transform Markmi into a polished, responsive, and reliable solution that not only delivers an exceptional user experience but also ensures it provides the business value clients are looking for.
